Health & Safety Officer - £17k to £23k p.a. - East Sussex
Health and Safety officer experience in a manufacturing environment is required to support the development, implementation and maintenance of both the Health, Safety & Environmental systems and RoHS WEEE Directives at my East Sussex client. The successful candidate will have knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation; several years of experience in a manufacturing environment; be computer literate; be familiar with RoHS & WEEE directives.
The objectives of the job are to: Manage the Health and Safety requirements of the company in accordance with national regulations; To develop and drive the Health & Safety improvement plans; Promote Health & Safety awareness within my client`s operations; To develop, implement and manage practices and procedures in order to comply with both the RoHS & WEEE Directives; Support & develop the company?s environmental management system accreditation to ISO 14001; Provide assistance in problem management throughout the company and contribute to the activities of continuous improvement.
